Since ancient of times existence has never been smooth. Nothing good comes easy. Life is indeed a great-struggle. Great personalities of history affirmed this philosophy. There is no food for a lazy man. No wonder, in an attempt to make ends meet, the human society is constantly in hustling and bustling. Men of wisdom, great thinkers had propounded workable theories and principles for human society to imbibe. Hence, stoicism as a philosophy, the survival of the fittest principle political maneuver as a move and diplomacy as a tact, all combined as a machinery to probably ameliorate apparently the plight of Awanu people today, world-wide.

Stoicism as a philosophy does not encourage idleness or indolence, laziness, and begging. It does not entertain being emotional and sentimental. It does not give room for or submit to nagging, or complaints. It shuts its door against self-defeat and cowardice. The stoics are always prepared at any given time to confront situations no matter how challenging they may be. They believe in self-discipline and hard work. They do not relay on people to actualize their dreams. They are always preoccupied with various engagements, duties and obligations that bring about solutions to societal problems. The stoics of the ancient Greek civilizations, philosophically believed that the sage should not allow themselves to be affected by painful or pleasant experiences. This is infact a lead-way to all Awanu speaking people to sit up and face challenges as they manifest in their society. Just continue to work hard, harder than ever, and then the result will be greatly rewarding. One can always dare the temptation of survival, anyway.

The idiomatic expression of “the survival of the fittest”, reminds us on the propelling influences of the state of determined people (the stoics) who are always ready and prepared to take their own destiny in their own hands. They are very resolute about real life situation, with a very strong zeal to give it a combat. These principles invigorate the adherents to best adapt to their surroundings in order to exist. This power, intellect and the manipulating tendencies to modify and adjust, to conquer are the driving forces behind any success or survival. Plunging yourself in this great and cumbersome task, demands patience, perseverance, modesty, endurance and any good pushes, or moves to achieve. In a great struggle of this nature, all the combine forces to make survival a reality must be put together, be canvassed and be supported both morally and physically. The Awanu must therefore channel their collective efforts as a nation through political activities to maneuver. They must move to participate politically and gain employable opportunity or dividence that go with political democracy. The spirit of stoicism, the survival of the fittest principle must be their guiding principles towards and or in any political maneuvers they may wish to engage in. As they remain strong in this ideal, using their skills, talents, wisdom, time and   perhaps energy by establishing good working relationship in politicking, a lot of diplomacy has to come to play. For your opponent, enemy, people of the other side of the divide can also be cronies when the game changes any time any day. While these political calculations are going on, the plight of the Awanu people no matter how serious, difficult, nasty and nauseating they are, chains of events shall begin to unravel and there will be total liberation of the Awanu Jukun speaking people world-wide.

In today’s world therefore, we all need to embrace the philosophy of stoicism by not complaining too much. Let us be ourselves by not crying foul all the time. Even if there are agonies, pains, condemnation, frustrations, denials, betrayals, nepotism, tribalism and all that, let the people continue to endure and develop themselves, like the Spartans. By so doing, they are in the process of liberating themselves from the shackles of retardation, retrogression or backwardness. Being able to adapt the philosophy of principle of the survival of the fittest, the people shall continue to make progress in all fields of human endeavours. They shall graduate from any forms of stagnation to participate in active politics and maneuver into the game centre with the full grip of what politics can offer. All these are achievable through conscious use or application of diplomatic soldering in this somewhat herculean task of finding comfort in today’s world of live and let live. Believing that as workable philosophical ideology, principles, movement and tactics,  Awanu must have worn or be properly dressed in the garments of stoicism, the survival of the fittest, political maneuver and diplomacy. The plight of the Awanu people would surely be surmounted now and forever and ever.
